Texas does not play around with its ice cream.

Let’s admit, we may all have laughed at something messed up. A friend falling, a cruel prank pulled on a sibling that ends up with their head stuck in between stairs.

After the initial laughing stage, we get ourselves together and finally help, while cleaning up the mess. No matter how twisted our sense of humor is, we should always be mindful of others before and after we are done having fun. Pranks are great, but you never want to cause any harm.

The following “prankster” also came back to clean up his mess but it was too little too late as he absolutely broke a taboo; never mess with another person’s ice cream.

Texas man D’Adrien Anderson shared a video on social, around August 2019, in which he can be seen taking a brand-new tub of Blue Bells Ice Cream off out of a Wal-Mart freezer, licks the top of the ice cream, reseals the package and places it back on the shelf.

It was later revealed that Anderson came back to buy the tub he licked, but this part wasn’t recorded or shared. The receipt and the security cameras confirm his claims but knowing whether he actually bought the same box would be impossible and there would always be a “what if” stuck in everyone’s mind.

As a safety measure, Blue Bell Creameries restocked the Walmart that was subjected to this prank, which cost roughly around $1565.

After the event, Walmart came forward to state that no evil deed versus the mankind’s health would go unpunished and added: “If food is tampered with, or a customer wants to leave the impression that they left behind adulterated product, we will move quickly with law enforcement to identify, apprehend and prosecute those who think this is a joke – it is not.”

Their case was recently closed, Anderson and his father were rather surprised at how seriously everyone was taking this. Their defense which was entirely based upon Anderson going back and buying the ice cream was not strong enough as he was charged with 30 days of jail time, six-month suspended sentence, a $1000 fine, 100 hours of unpaid work and was also ordered to cover the damages he caused for misdemeanor criminal mischief.

If you were out of the loop during the summer, this whole licking ice cream thing was about to get out of hand in Texas. Before Anderson pulled this off-putting prank, there was another video that featured an underage girl who did the same thing but never returned to buy the ice cream.

Luckily, Texas officials did not hesitate to make an example of these lickers by arresting them and possibly stopping many other potential ice cream lickers out there.

There is also another factor that may concern all the lickers out there though, no one really knows what it is like to be an icecream-licker in jail. I mean, if movies are even a little accurate, this man will walk into the jail and will eventually face some adversity from other inmates. When that happens he will be asked what he is in for… Can any of us really imagine how that conversation will end?
