Or should we say lack of taxes.
In a shocking (to some) article released by the New York Times, it’s been revealed that Donald Trump only paid $750 USD in income taxes in 2016, and absolutely nothing for 10 of the 15 years being investigated prior. To give you some context, fellow big-wigs like Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders have previously paid nearly $1 million USD in tax returns combined with their spouse, as their returns revealed, last year.
Yeah. That’s a big difference.
In fact, when you do the math, a single adult would only need to make $17,900 USD per year to have to pay the amount Trump paid. While I’m not the President’s financial advisor, I think it’s safe to say he makes more than that.
With this highly anticipated, yet incredibly small figure he paid finally being unveiled, the public is pissed—and they’re speaking out. I mean, when you’re paying more income tax than the President of the United States, can you blame them?
Twitter users never shy away from sharing their opinions, and this news story is no exception. Here are some of the funniest and truly shocking Tweets we found that really put things into perspective.

Bottom line: we’ve all paid more than the President has in taxes. It’s almost difficult not to. And the Biden campaign, in their infinite wisdom, knows this—and they want to profit off of it. If you find yourself relating to most of these tweets and are pretty fed up about it, so fed up that you need people to know, then you’re in luck.
Biden’s campaign store just dropped some new merch to let people know how you really feel, and how much you really pay. Stickers and a shirt that reads ‘I Paid More Income Taxes Than Donald Trump’ are now available for purchase, and I have a feeling they’ll sell rather quickly. Don’t miss out!
Talk about a weird flex.
